Final Mercury Retrograde for 2023

Mercury, known as the “Messenger” in Astrology, governs all forms of communication: speaking, writing, technology, traveling (local more than long journeys), contracts, and legal matters.

Its energy provides our connection between mind and spirit.

Mercury in Retrograde motion appears to be moving backward through the heaves). This phenomenon occurs ~ 3x/year and this is the final one for 2023.

It’s actually an optical illusion. Mercury’s impact changes during these retrograde periods. The energy it exerts is  more internal than external.

Retrogrades often get a bad wrap; however, they can be times of great Insight if we take the time to “go within.” It’s a time to slow down (difficult, I know, at this time of year), take a step back, and rethink, review, and reflect on the year departing.

Mercury Stations-Retrograde, today: December 13th at 8* Capricorn and will go Direct, again at 22* Sagittarius on Jan. 1, 2024.

It will travel through 2 signs, ( noted above) during this period . . . so two signs are being highlighted:

• CAPRICORN: career, public image, status quo

• SAGITTARIUS: big picture, broad vision (for 2024), expansion of ideas

( If you have a Natal (Birth) Chart . . . look to see where these Houses  are, in your Chart, as this is where you are being affected, during this retrograde).

It’s the time to reflect, review, rethink, redo, re-evaluate, reconsider, recreate, (ALL things “RE”), any thoughts, ideas, plans, you might have or want, for yourself, in 2024.

All the Mercury, retrogrades in 2023 have occurred in EARTH signs . . . practical and down to earth. . . even static.

In 2024, they will all occur in fire signs, so it’s a good time to take action on your thoughts and ideas and move them, forward . . . dynamic.

Make this reflective period a productive one, by listening to the wise voice within: your powerful intuition.
